The Lockdown series

These set of 2 artworks exhibited as a trilogy were conceived and created during COVID lockdowns. ‘Screaming Brain’ was an unambiguous response to the times. With a nod to my love of skateboard graphics and Jim Phillips work for Santa Cruz. ‘Light the Fuse’ presents the juxtaposition of peace before an impending explosion.

These works were exhibited for one night only at Newcastle’s Globe Gallery prior to the closure and demolition of the brutalist building Commercial Union House to make way for tax offices.
